Ben Rongen is a unique fashion jewellery studio specializing in turning artefacts from ancient shipwrecks into accessories and jewelry. The man behind the brand, Ben Rongen, is a Penang-based Australian-raised Dutch man with a passion for historic porcelain and its hand painted motives. He brings new life to the 400-year-old ceramic shards by creating a range of jewellery from them. His range of jewellery allows everyone to own a piece of history. Made from the Wanli shipwreck in 1625, each piece of his jewellery is unique and has a certificate of authenticity. A former film director, his interest and passion in artefact jewellery was ignited while he was filming Swedish marine archaeologist Sten Sjostrand who worked on ancient shipwrecks in the South China Sea.
