Choo Beng Teong

Born in 1966, Choo Beng Teong is a Penang-based modern and contemporary artist. He is widely considered one of the finest wildlife artists in the region, with birds being his favourite subject matter. Starting with a solo exhibition in 1987, Choo has gained worldwide recognition for his wildlife paintings, and his works have been auctioned in the prestigious art auctions Christie's Wildlife Art and Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers. In 1995, Pos Malaysia featured his works on sea turtles as commissioned designs on postage stamps. Despite his success, Choo remains a local boy at heart, with his humble and simple ways. Choo lives and works from his home in Seberang Perai, Penang.
