Handcarved from an Angsana/Acacia tree which is about 200 years.
Merging the world famous iconic abstract Buddha's Eyes high on the temple walls
of Tibet and Kathmandu with a 'human 3D face'. Eyes, eyebrows and symbols
painted with acrylic paint. Finished with Tung oil, olive oil and natural
beeswax to give it the natural ancient antique look.
The solid wooden slab have
been grinded down with chainsaws, angle grinders, wire brushed, burned, carved
and sanded down with different grit sandpapers to give it the different feeling
and textures. The burnt wood has been brushed with a hand steel brush to give
it the beautiful exposed wood grain. The beautiful circular wood grain was wire
brush to give it the 'energy or aura' look on the 'forehead'.
All the months of hard work
is totally worth it when one just sits down with a glass of wine and absorbing
the beauty of the art piece. Using your fingers to caress the various textures
of the wood is just simply so sensual and breathtaking. The slight faint smell
of light green nutty Tung oil further arouses your other senses.
